Imagine captivating faces on every tree or a surprised expression gazing back from the garden wall!
This sculpted face was glazed in my favorite jade green celadon glaze.
She is formed from highfire cone 10 clay, so she can easily withstand temperature extremes of the seasons outside, or add a touch of mindfulness to your interior living space.
Dimensions: 7.5” tall x 5” wide x 3” deep. Prewired for hanging.
Artist Statement: I created all these faces to surprise people walking through our woods and seeing the trees staring back at them! Many are funny or scary, but I also wanted to make some that speak to the serenity of the woods or garden. This lovely lady was a study for me to refine the face of my bodhisattva statue, Quan Yin. I was so pleased with her calm presence I glazed her in celadon and placed her on a tree to look out over my garden.
