This sweet old Green Man dude wears a garland of oak leaves around his wrinkled face. He was sculpted in red clay and was glazed with mottled matte green glaze.
One of a kind sculpture made from highfire cone 10 clay, so he can easily withstand temperature extremes of the changing seasons.
Dimensions: 14” tall x 14” wide x 2.5” deep. Prewired for hanging.
Artist Statement: Green Man II was one of the first green men faces I ever made to give my trees some personality! Though I was terrible at making likenesses at that time, I modeled him after my sweet old grandfather, who helped me plant my first garden. I created all these funny faces to surprise people walking through our woods and seeing the trees staring back at them! They are also great to hang on garden walls or fences, giving your yard a jolt of personality!
