This trio of sculpted moon faces are glazed in white, red, and black glazes and underglazes. Look closely and you’ll see gloss and matte ejecta markings from meteors.
Unique sculptures made from highfire cone 10 clay, so they can easily withstand seasonal temperature extremes . All are prewired for hanging.

Artist Statement: I created these funny faces to surprise people walking through our woods and seeing the trees staring back at them! I also hung them on garden walls in fun groupings. These silly moon faces were inspired by Georges Melies short film A Trip to the Moon shot in 1902. All the faces are durably wired for single hook easy hanging. Hang them all over the garden walls and surprise people!
