Artist Statement: I love all animals, but I have a thing for bears. I find the polar bear the most beautiful and compelling of all bears and feel great sadness over their plight with climate change. I love the nobility of their roman noses, their charming expressions, and the distinctiveness of their massive silhouettes. I also love the incongruity of a polar bear posing in my garden. Who will he surprise in yours?
